AEV Edition’s New Protection

The 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition is a step above the rest in its class. It’s truly ready to take out into the wilderness, with new protection against the elements. The AEV-stamped steel front and year bumpers are equipped with powder and e-coating for UV and corrosion resistance. They’re constructed with 3-milimeter heavy duty steel, and the front bumper is winch capable. On the road or off, this means that the Sierra 1500 is ready for any job or trail.

The truck’s underbody is just as ready to go off-road. With five high-strength, hot stamped boron steel skid plates, the underbody is three-and-a-half times stronger than cold stamped steel equivalents. Most importantly, the AEV Edition’s underbody is extremely resistant to gouging and bending. This does the job of protecting the underbody from any damage that could usually be caused by rocks, branches or whatever else may get in the way on an off road trail.

Improving on the 2022 Sierra 1500

With all these upgrades, the 2023 Sierra 1500 offers better off-road stats than its previous counterparts. In front approach, breakover and departure angles, the AEV Edition is a study in improvement, allowing for higher success rates in more difficult terrain. The ground clearance on the truck is also improved, from 10.8 inches in the 2022 Sierra 1500, to 11.2 inches in the new 2023 truck.

Goodyear Tires

Goodyear Tires

No matter how improved the rest of the truck is, quality tires are absolutely essential while overlanding and off-roading. The new Edition is outfitted with 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires that are sure to stand up to anything you can throw at them. These tires have both an asymmetrical and wraparound tread that help improve grip when dealing with muddy conditions. On highways and muddy off-roads alike, Wrangler Territory tires are the icing on the cake for this powerful vehicle.

GMC Delivers Again

GMC has been manufacturing strong, high-quality trucks since 1902. The new 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition is no exception. With upgrades to body protection, clearance and a luxurious interior, this truck is the one to beat for serious off-roaders.
