Eye SPY: The Benefits of Blue Light Glasses

A few months ago, we decided to try SPY’s Helm sunglasses to replace an older pair of Oakley glasses that had been to the edges of the earth. We had always heard good things about SPY and their products so we figured we would give it a shot.

We decided on the Helm style glasses and ordered a pair with their Happy Lens technology.

According to SPY’s website, “Happy Lens is the only color and contrast enhancing lens on the market that harnesses the beneficial aspects of long-wave blue light while offering protection from damaging short-wave blue light.

Long-wave blue light helps you See Better by enhancing color, contrast, and clarity, making colors more vivid and surroundings more defined.

Long-wave blue light helps you Feel Better by stimulating the brain’s production of serotonin to improve mood, increase alertness, and promote a healthy circadian rhythm.”

Light sensitivity is an issue, so any time we are outside on more than a total overcast day, sunglasses are on. The quality of them and how the lens is constructed is incredibly important to us. So, SPY’s super durable six-layer polycarbonate ballistic material and their happy lens was a match made in heaven. Additionally, they block 100% of harmful UV rays and make sure your eyes are protected and strain free for all day outside comfort—that sure makes us happy.

If you are looking for a new pair of sunglasses, make sure to check out SPY and their offerings; promise you won’t be disappointed.
