There are many options out there, but when it comes to the one you should put in your 4×4, look no further than GME’s XRS Range. The XRS Range from GME is the next evolution of GMRS Radios. Designed, tested and made in Australia, these radios are designed to handle the toughest off-road conditions and keep overlanders connected to their crew out on the trails. The XRS range of radios combines the latest electronic hardware and software to produce extremely compact GMRS radios with innovative features, outstanding specifications and performance, making them the most advanced GMRS radios available. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter From a hardware perspective, XRS provides users a compact radio with a hideaway speaker microphone featuring a high-contrast OLED display, while the front-mounted 2-watt speaker provides clear sound and total control from the palm of your hand. Each XRS Radio features Bluetooth connectivity to enable connection to the XRS Connect smartphone app. The XRSTM Connect App for Android and iOS offers a number of additional features, exclusive to the XRSTM Connect range of radios, whilst allowing users to easily manage radio settings, download firmware updates, and create custom scan lists via their smartphone. Other exclusive XRS features include: Voice Playback: record and store the first 30 seconds of each received transmission, with a total recording time of 12 minutes. An ideal feature for those who have noisy cabins or are frequently in and out of their vehicles. Active Mute: either mute or lower the volume of your radio automatically when you make or receive a phone call. This allows users to safely focus on their phone conversation rather than manually adjusting the volume on their radio. Dual Watch: monitor two channels at the same time. Crewtalk: automatically configure pre-defined Net-Scan lists. As with regular Net-Scan, the benefit is that a group of users can have communications with far less chance of being blocked by outsiders, or hearing unwanted transmissions from outsiders. With three models in the XRS range, there is an XRS radio to suit every 4×4. The XRS-330C-U is a super compact hideaway GMRS Radio. It features a robust chassis with ABS construction and a drop-in style microphone mount. Due to its extremely small size, it is the ideal option for modern 4WD vehicles with limited space to mount a radio. The XRS-370C-U is slightly larger and is a compact hideaway GMRS Radio. With a diecast metal chassis, in-built speaker, and magnetic microphone mount, it is the ideal radio for noisy cabins and 4x4s that need reliable performance in tough conditions. Combined with a rugged IP67 Ingress Protection rating, the XRS-390C-U is the perfect choice for use in UTVs and Agricultural machinery or 4x4s that are being put through the harshest conditions.
