Cooler Temps, Bigger Adventures: Inside Our January/February Issue

love this time of year because it allows us the chance to get out and enjoy all of the places that push the top of the temp gauges all summer long. I don’t know about you, but it brings to mind the red sandstone of southern Utah and the Joshua trees in Arizona. What does this part of the year mean to you?

Our January/February issue is packed with awesome features and a killer event. Chad Douglas visited Off-Road Expo Costa Mesa and his story makes you feel like you’re right there with him. We have some incredible feature builds, including James’ Final Frontier, a build more than 10 years in the making; Spencer’s outrageous Tacoma prerunner; the TMR Short Course build; an amazing dentside Bronco; the MESO Toyota pushing it to the limit; a 240SX unlike any other out there; an over-the-top Hellcat-swapped Gladiator; and a purpose-built Toyota 4Runner. Each of these builds has its own special touches, and we are pumped to share them with you.

We also have a couple of great tech articles for you too, including an update on the American Gladiator build.

Of course, we’ve got all your favorite columns as well—Made the Cut, Tread on Trails, Outfitted, and Gear Box—each packed with the latest gear, accessories, and destination inspiration for your off-road lifestyle.

Share your adventures, photos, and stories with us at tread.com. Whether it’s a weekend run or a bucket-list expedition, we love seeing what you’re up to. You can also tag us on Instagram @tread_magazine whenever you post!

And if you’ve got an unbelievable build or an unforgettable journey in the works, don’t hesitate to reach out. Email me at dence@engage.media. I’d love to hear about it.

I can’t wait to see what adventures you get into this winter, and don’t forget to keep exploring!

Happy trails,
