We had always heard good things about SPY and their products so we figured we would give it a shot. We decided on the Helm style glasses and ordered a pair with their Happy Lens technology. According to SPY’s website, “Happy Lens is the only color and contrast enhancing lens on the market that harnesses the beneficial aspects of long-wave blue light while offering protection from damaging short-wave blue light. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter for FREE Long-wave blue light helps you See Better by enhancing color, contrast, and clarity, making colors more vivid and surroundings more defined. Long-wave blue light helps you Feel Better by stimulating the brain’s production of serotonin to improve mood, increase alertness, and promote a healthy circadian rhythm.” Light sensitivity is an issue, so any time we are outside on more than a total overcast day, sunglasses are on. The quality of them and how the lens is constructed is incredibly important to us. So, SPY’s super durable six-layer polycarbonate ballistic material and their happy lens was a match made in heaven. Additionally, they block 100% of harmful UV rays and make sure your eyes are protected and strain free for all day outside comfort—that sure makes us happy. If you are looking for a new pair of sunglasses, make sure to check out SPY and their offerings; promise you won’t be disappointed.
