Building on a 65-year legacy of developing world-class RF Communication products in Australia, GME is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new range of GMRS Radios and antennas, designed and engineered specifically for the US Overlanding Community.

With a strong heritage and undeniable market-leadership position in the Australian UHF CB Radio market, GME is leveraging their extensive experience in producing the highest quality radio products for the Australian off-road community and extending its presence into the United States of America.

In response to the rapid growth of overlanding and the ongoing demand for a high-quality Australian-made offering in the GMRS Radio space, GME is well placed to offer products of a much higher quality and performance standard than is currently available to customers in the USA.

GMEs initial GMRS product offering is designed specifically with the US overlanding market in mind and includes the XRS range of mobile radios, our radome range of antennas and a suite of accessories to suit.

The XRS range is GME’s flagship offering and includes the XRS-330C-U, XRS-370C-U and the XRS-390C-U fixed-mount GMRS radios. These radios are compact in design and are easily installed in modern and older trucks alike.

All XRS GMRS radios feature a professional-grade speaker microphone complete with a loud and clear 2-watt speaker, user-customizable buttons and a high contrast OLED screen guaranteeing a crystal clear, anti-glare display in any lighting conditions. They also boast XRS connect features that include:

• Voice Playback: Instantly play back transmissions at the push of a button
• Active Mute: allows you to mute your GMRS radio whilst receiving phone calls or at any time
• Crewtalk: have your group maintain uninterrupted conversations as all members of the Crewtalk group automatically change to a free channel when non-group users communicate on the channel

Additionally, all XRS GMRS Radios also offer Bluetooth® connectivity – enabling over-the-air firmware updates, simplified customization of settings, and smartphone control, ensuring long-term value for users.

The XRS-390C-U model also offers IP67 Ingress Protection to prevent dust and water ingress, and a MIL-STD 810G Rating to protect against vibration and shock, making it suitable for hardcore offroad applications, including buggies, crawlers, and UTVs, offering the full suite of unique XRS Connect features in a tough body built to handle anything you can throw at it.

GMEs GMRS antenna offering includes heavy-duty radomes, medium-duty radomes and a discrete low-profile option.

Tried and tested in the harshest of Australian conditions and, these antennas provide overlanders with a robust and reliable antenna to suit their vehicle and off-road needs.

The AE4700 Series also feature interchangeable whips, allowing users to easily swap between high and low-gain whips, ensuring that users can maximise the performance of their GMRS radio, regardless of the conditions they are overlanding in.

Other accessories to round out the GME range include model-specific RJ45 pass-through adaptors, extension speakers, fold-down antenna brackets and the XRS-BT1 module. This Bluetooth audio module allows for Bluetooth Audio connectivity for the XRS GMRS mobile range to choose select audio devices as the speaker selection, and the connection and usage of the wireless PTT button, which allows users to talk through their radio without taking their hands off the steering wheel and picking up the microphone.
