2019 Toyo Tires Trailpass Hood River Highlights

Photos by Ian Bostrom

Friday night brought much anticipation and curiosity from the vendors and, of course,  Toyo Tires. The first Toyo Tires Trailpass event was underway, booths were set up and we all wondered how the turnout would be the next day in actuality. With over 200 vehicles signed up to camp Saturday night in Hood River, Oregon, and a possible rainstorm on it’s way, it was hard to say what the outcome would be for the 2019 Toyo Tires Trailpass event. Ultimately, we were all pleased, even with a little lightening and thunder to keep us on our toes.

Cascadia Vehicle Tents had a great booth that displayed new products and great tents.

Hood River, Oregon, was the perfect setting for the 2019 Toyo Tires Trailpass event. Held at the Hood River Fairgrounds, nestled between some mountains and upon lush green grass, there was little doubt that the weekend would not be a hit. With over $12,000 in raffle prizes, a full day of classes and workshops, top vendors to visit and plenty of like-minded individuals to chat with, the crowd wouldn’t be disappointed.

Bryon Dorr of Exploring Elements, and Tread magazine feature editor, showed off the upgrades and new look to his rig.

Tread magazine was deemed media sponsor of the event and with that title came the responsibility of awarding a vehicle with the title of Feature Vehicle. Winner received a one-of-a-kind Pelican cooler trophy with honorable badge on front and promised a feature in a future issue. The turnout of vehicles did not disappoint and we had a tough time picking just one winner.

There were plenty of vehicles to see, some simple, some more extensive, and a wide variety for any type of fan. Check out some of our highlights of the show and some vehicles that couldn’t be missed. We’re already looking forward to next year.
