If you’ve dreamed of exploring Mexico, the 2023 Adventure Raid is your ticket to ride. This year’s Raid begins in Hermosillo, joining in on festivities Sonora Rally. From there the Raid heads north, exploring Old Mexico in the Sierra Pinacate and fishing villages along the Sea of Cortez. Raid participants will also have the opportunity to traverse the Gran Desierto de Altar Sonora Dunes, North America’s largest desert, and spend a night under the stars deep in the Sonoran sand dunes. The Adventure Raid might travel at a more leisurely pace than the Rally, but it will trace many of the Rally’s competition routes, stopping at hot spots to catch the competition. While this is a guided tour, you will also have the opportunity to vet your navigation skills and lead the group using the official rally roadbook. This year’s Adventure Raid will be led by our good friend Chris Collard, an internationally recognized automotive journalist and Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Adventure Raid 2023 Registration is opening soon! The trip is open to street-legal, high-clearance 4×4 vehicles, and includes some meals and hotel stays, as well as access to all rally activities. Dates are April 22-28, 2023, and Adventure Raid registration is limited to 12 vehicles. For more information, check out sonorarally.com
