Ultra-Light Redodo 12V 120Ah Group 24 Bluetooth Lithium Battery: A Must-Have for RV & Overlanding Trips

In overlanding, RV travel, and weekend camping, electronic devices such as refrigerators, lighting, fans, Starlink units, cameras, and communication devices are becoming commonly used. At the same time, most platforms—including pickup trucks, SUVs, camper vans and rv travel trailers—still face constraints in installation space and payload capacity, making energy expansion a persistent challenge for rv power supply setup.

Against this backdrop, lithium batteries are increasingly shifting toward higher energy density and compact design. In line with this trend, Redodo continues to expand its compact lineup, following existing series including the 12V 100Ah Ultra Mini, 12V 165Ah Bluetooth, and 12V 320Ah Mini Bluetooth models. The latest addition, the 12V 120Ah Group 24 Bluetooth LiFePO4 battery, delivers higher capacity within a standardized footprint (first time achieving 120Ah capacity in a Group 24 size), targeting 1–2 day RV trips and overnight off-grid scenarios (based on approximately 1 kWh of daily energy consumption for basic power needs).

Redefining Group 24 RV Battery Power with Higher Energy Density

1536Wh Energy | All-Night Power Support

In many vehicle systems, batteries are constrained by factory trays or retrofit enclosures based on Group 24 dimensions. Increasing runtime often requires adding additional batteries or modifying storage structures.

The Redodo 12V 120Ah Group 24 Bluetooth LiFePO4 battery provides 1536Wh of energy, 256Wh higher than typical 12V 100Ah Group 24 solutions. With an energy density of around 167Wh/L, it delivers improved runtime for essential loads such as refrigerators and lighting during overnight use.

It is compatible with Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, Toyota 4Runner, Land Cruiser and various trailer systems, allowing users to upgrade energy without changing installation layouts. It also supports multiple tray standards, including Group 27/31, improving retrofit flexibility.

Lightweight for Real Travel Freedom

The battery measures L10.24 × W6.61 × H8.27 inches and weighs 23.81 lbs, making it one of the most compact 12V 120Ah lithium batteries in its class.

Compared with a traditional 12V 100Ah Group 31 AGM battery, it reduces weight by about 63% and footprint by roughly 25%. In many applications, a single unit can replace two 12V 100Ah lead-acid batteries, thanks to higher usable capacity and improved discharge efficiency.

This allows more payload allocation for water storage, recovery gear, tools, and other equipment commonly used for overland campers.

Smart Bluetooth Monitoring – Know Your Power at a Glance

The integrated Bluetooth monitoring system enables real-time access to key operating data, including voltage, SOC, and remaining capacity. This improves transparency in energy management, especially for off-grid or multi-day use scenarios where power planning is essential.

The system also supports OTA firmware updates via mobile app, enabling continuous optimization without hardware modifications.

Built for Real Outdoor Conditions

Outdoor electrical systems are exposed to variable environmental conditions, including low temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct solar radiation.

The battery is designed with low-temperature charging protection, IP65-rated dust and water resistance and heat-reflective white enclosure to reduce thermal absorption, helping maintain stable performance in camping sites, rear storage compartments, boat cabins, and open outdoor environments.

Expanding the Compact Power Ecosystem

Redodo has been a leading brand in lithium batteries for RV. The 12V 120Ah model is part of its broader compact lithium ecosystem for constrained space:

Redodo 12V 100Ah Ultra Mini Lithium Battery

~1280Wh in a Group 22NF footprint, only 19.8 lbs, ideal for ultra-compact RV, marine, and mobility applications

Redodo 12V 165Ah Group 31 Bluetooth Lithium Battery

Delivers 65% more energy than standard 100Ah batteries in the same footprint, ideal for RVs, off-grid solar systems, and marine adventures

Redodo 12V 320Ah Mini Bluetooth Lithium Battery

One unit replaces up to 6 × 12V 100Ah lead-acid batteries, saving 84% weight and 74% space, designed for long-distance travel, boondocking, and extended off-grid use.

Go Light, Go Further

Across the RV and overlanding segment, lightweight lithium systems are increasingly being adopted as a way to balance energy demand with spatial and weight constraints.

As a Redodo representative noted, for users building RVs, trailers, camper vans or overlanding rigs, Redodo aims to ensure that limited space no longer restricts power performance—making every journey lighter, and every outdoor experience less constrained by bulky systems or complex power setups.
