Practice Eco-Friendly Overlanding with These 7 Tips
There are a lot of misconceptions out there about the relationship between the overlanding community and the environment. In this article, we're going to try to break those down. Have you ever met an overlander who would chuck granola bar wrappers out their window on a trail and say, "Eh, whatever. Who cares about the environment anyway?" No? Exactly. We haven't either. Just because we need large vehicles to get to the places we want to explore, that doesn't mean we don't care about preserving those beautiful places.
As much as we wish we had an unlimited adventure budget, that’s often very much not the case. It’s so easy to pour tons of money into your camping or overlanding setup and get way out of budget way too quickly, especially when cars and trucks get involved. To avoid this, we’ve collected all of our best tips and tricks that’ll help you stay under budget when you’re out on the road. When we’re trying to keep our adventures low-cost, our motto is K.I.S.S – Keep It Simple, Stupid. With that being said, here are our tips!
We’ve all heard the phrase, “pics or it didn’t happen,” at some time or another. Technology and social media have made it easier to connect to others and share photos and videos while traveling. Whether you’re looking to share your best sunset selfie or an epic magazine cover photo, you’ll need the right camera gear. While having the latest photo gear may not make you a better photographer, it can certainly make shooting photos more enjoyable during the journey. Having the right accessories can provide a solution to clean, protect, organize, and safely store your precious equipment.
We're teaming up with Black Rhino to bring you a new set of wheels! Show us your rig and tell us why your truck needs an upgrade. You'll be entered to win 4 wheels from Black Rhino cast or Flow Form Technology lineup; non-beadlock only. Our readers will vote for the rig they love most.
